Fractional CFO CostAbout Fractional CFO Cost
fractionalcfocost.com exists because owners looking for fractional CFO cost kept finding pages that would not say what a fee includes. They'd find a range, or a vague promise, or a form asking for their phone number. What they wanted was a way to tell whether a quote was fair. This site is built to make two quotes comparable, and to say plainly how we price our own.
Talk with a Tax CFO
Who stands behind the fee
The Tax CFO you meet on the free call is Steven Palmieri, the Entrepreneur's CFO. Steven and his team handle the books, the returns and the year's tax plan for owner-run companies. The practice is based in Dallas, Texas. Owners we work with are spread around the country, and we meet by video.
You'll see "we" throughout. If you ask about a fee, the answer comes from people who will also do the work, which is how it should be.
How we price
We price the month. The fee is written down before work starts, with a list of what it covers and what's billed apart. Catch-up is priced on its own. Tax planning sits inside the monthly work. Your questions during the month are part of it. We don't use an hourly meter, and we don't change the number without telling you first.
We don't list a price on these pages, because the right number depends on your books. Fees are set in writing before work starts. How fractional CFOs charge lays out the models, so you can see where ours sits.
How to use this guide
Think of it as a guide you can use with anyone's quote, including ours. You'll find a worksheet, a list of what a fee should include and a list of where extras tend to hide. If you read them and decide to hire someone else, that's a fine outcome.
What you won't find here
It won't claim to be the last word on market prices, and it won't make any up. If a published range from a named source ever appears, it will say where it came from and when. It also won't sell you work we can't do. One page lists the work we don't price, and it's worth reading before any other.
A word on the name
Fractional CFO Cost is the name we use for the guide. It's a plain label for a plain subject, and we chose it because it's the phrase you were probably looking for.
